Ashley Judd

Boxofficemojo.com says that Ashley Judd’s movies (including Double Jeopardy, A Time to Kill and this weekend’s fourth-biggest movie, Bug) have collectively grossed over $612 million at theaters. That ain’t too shabby. Still, that haul over 15 years isn’t all that more impressive than what hubbie driver Dario Franchitti did this past Sunday. The humble, 33-year-old Scot won a rain-shortened Indianapolis 500 and took home a record purse of $1,645,233, garnering a “Wow!” from Judd. The die-hard Kentucky hoops fan was probably thinking about all the Wildcats gear she could purchase with the loot. Of course, the big win at Indianapolis Motor Speedway isn’t the only thing putting a smile on Ashley’s face these days. Highly-touted West Virginia b-ball star Patrick Patterson recently announced he’d be playing his college ball –Not at Duke or Florida like most had presumed- in Lexington, a move that promises lots more grins this winter in the Franchitti home.
